Can I buy a web stick on Pay and Go?
Having the use of broadband is great, but sometimes you are needing to surf the web, and there is no WiFi available, this is where the use of a web stick comes in very handy. Web sticks can not only be used portably, but can also be used within the home, and are especially useful in this instance, if you have moved into a property with no telephone line or broadband facility. A web stick simply plugs into the USB port on your computer and away you go. There are two ways in which you can purchase surf time on these devices. One is via pay and go and the other is on a contract.
The choice for you as an individual will depend on a number of factors, one is the amount of time which you spend on the internet, and another is the amount of downloads you intend on using.
Pay and Go
Pay and Go is a good option, for if you don’t use broadband a huge amount. You may not think you do a lot of downloading, but be aware, that by playing a music video on you tube you are ultimately downloading, and not a lot of people understand this concept. It is also important to remember that if you send out a lot of emails and receive a lot of emails, then this will all add to the amount of usage you do as a whole on the internet.
The good thing about going on pay and go, is that you are not tied into any contract, meaning that you don’t have to commit to a provider, so if the service is not up to much you can change to a new provider. Plus you can surf the internet to see who has the best offer on each month.
Contract
If however, you decide to pay on contract for a web stick, then you could get more for your money. If you take on a contract on one of these web sticks, then usually you will find that you do get more for your money, it is well worth sifting through the broadband providers and phone companies to see who is offering the best deal at present.
